Anti-ageing facial treatments: the most requested at the salon

Why anti-ageing facial treatments are the most in demand

More and more clients arrive at the salon with the same concern: they notice their facial skin looking duller, less firm or showing the first fine lines, and they want to look after it without resorting to anything invasive. Anti-ageing facial treatments respond to exactly that: improving skin quality progressively, with in-salon protocols adapted to every age and skin type.

The good news is that you don't have to wait for marked wrinkles to start. Prevention is the best anti-ageing strategy, and many of these treatments work as well for slowing the first signs as for working on more mature skin.

Which signs of ageing are we trying to slow down?

Before choosing a treatment it helps to understand what is happening in the skin. Over the years several factors combine:

  • Loss of firmness: natural collagen and elastin production drops, and the skin becomes slacker.
  • Dehydration: the skin retains less water and loses that plump, luminous look.
  • Wrinkles and expression lines: first dynamic (when we make expressions) and, over time, static.
  • Spots and uneven tone: a consequence of accumulated sun exposure.
  • Lack of radiance: cell renewal slows down and the complexion looks duller.

Each anti-ageing treatment tackles one or several of these fronts. That's why the ideal is a skin assessment before deciding.

The anti-ageing facial treatments most requested in 2026

At Prettify, many of these treatments are part of our Pretticare advanced aesthetics line. These are the most in-demand.

Facial radiofrequency

It is the star firming treatment. It delivers controlled heat to the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate the production of new collagen. The result is a progressive tightening effect: the facial contour looks more defined and the skin firmer. It is painless, needs no recovery time and is especially noticeable on the neck and jawline.

Mesotherapy with vitamins and hyaluronic acid

It consists of delivering active ingredients (vitamins, antioxidants, hyaluronic acid) directly into the skin to hydrate it deeply and give it radiance. It is one of the treatments whose effect on how "well" you look shows soonest: the skin is revitalised and looks fresher from the first sessions.

Peels and cell renewal

Peels remove dead cells from the surface and activate skin regeneration. They help smooth texture, even out tone and soften spots and fine lines. There are different strengths, from the gentlest maintenance peels to those that work more deeply, always prescribed by the professional.

LED light

LED light therapy is increasingly used as an anti-ageing complement. Red light stimulates collagen and improves firmness, while other wavelengths calm the skin. It is a very comfortable treatment that is usually combined with others to boost results.

Manual firming treatments

Protocols of facial massage, drainage and wood therapy work the musculature and activate circulation. They don't replace equipment-based treatments, but they provide a very pleasant firming and "reset" effect, as well as improving the penetration of active ingredients.

What to expect from your first session?

If you've never had a facial treatment in a cabin, the first appointment usually starts with a cleanse and a skin assessment. The professional looks at your skin type, your hydration level, firmness and the areas that worry you most, and from there proposes a plan. Don't expect a radical change in a single day: it's normal to leave with brighter, more rested skin and to see firmness or texture results progressively over the following sessions. It's a process, not an overnight trick, and that is precisely its value: the changes that come little by little are the ones that last.

How often do they need repeating?

The key to any anti-ageing treatment is consistency. A single session shows, but real results come with planned protocols. As a general guide:

TreatmentIndicative frequency
RadiofrequencyWeekly sessions at the start + monthly maintenance
Mesotherapy / vitaminsSessions every 2–4 weeks in courses
PeelAs a course of several spaced-out sessions
LED lightAs a complement, according to protocol

Your professional will design a personalised plan; these figures are just a reference so you get an idea of the commitment involved.

Care doesn't end in the cabin

Something we always tell our clients is that the salon does its part, but 80% of the result is decided at home. Consistency in your daily routine —cleansing, hydration and, above all, sun protection— is what sustains and prolongs what you achieve in the cabin. And more and more professionals recommend complementing external care with care "from within": good nutrition, hydration and, if it makes sense for you, supplements that support the skin nutritionally. If you want to understand how that approach works, The Rava Lab's nutricosmetics guides explain it simply and without miracle promises. In the end, well-nourished skin responds much better to any treatment.

How to choose the right anti-ageing treatment for you?

There is no single "best" treatment: there is the best one for your skin and your moment. A few quick pointers:

  • If your main goal is firmness and a tightening effect, radiofrequency is your starting point.
  • If you want radiance and hydration, start with mesotherapy or hyaluronic acid protocols.
  • If you're concerned about texture, spots and fine lines, consider a course of peels.
  • If you want to prevent before signs appear, deep hydration combined with good habits is enough.

At Prettify we always start with a skin assessment to recommend the protocol you really need, without selling you extra sessions. If you're unsure where to begin, book a first consultation and we'll look at it together.
